Jupiter Global ATM cash not dispensed but balance changed: what to do

If a Jupiter Card ATM attempt did not give you cash but the balance changed, preserve the original reference, classify the transaction, and contact verified support safely.

An ATM that keeps the cash but shows a changed Jupiter balance is a different problem from an ordinary decline. Do not make a second withdrawal to test whether the first one “went through.” Preserve the original reference, determine whether the app shows a pending authorisation or a settled transaction, and use the verified support route if the cash was not dispensed.

Protect the original transaction first

Take the card and receipt from the machine, then record the ATM location, date, time, requested amount, currency, and the exact message shown by the machine and the official app. Keep the record private. Do not share the PIN, one-time code, full card number, identity document, wallet recovery phrase, or private key with anyone offering to “release” the cash.

If the ATM retained the card, use only the official card-management and support instructions shown in the app. A person standing near the machine, a social-media account, or a phone number printed on an unexpected sticker is not proof of a legitimate recovery route. Jupiter security guidance

Read the original status before calling it a debit

Jupiter’s FAQ explains that an authorisation can remain pending when a merchant has not captured it, and that such a hold can take up to 30 days to drop depending on the merchant. That is a general card-authorisation rule, not an ATM-resolution promise. The important distinction is whether the original line is still pending, has reversed, or has settled as a debit. Current payment FAQ

Do not infer the state from your bank notification alone. Open the transaction in the official Jupiter app and save the reference shown there. If the app shows a pending amount, do not assume that the final debit is complete; if it shows a settled debit and no cash arrived, tell support exactly that.

Separate four possible outcomes

What happenedWhat it means for your next stepWhat to preserve
No cash and no balance changeThe ATM may have rejected the route before an authorisationMachine message and time
No cash and a pending lineThe original authorisation may still be unresolvedApp reference and receipt
No cash and a settled debitThe incident needs provider investigationOriginal reference, ATM details and amount
Cash arrived but the amount looks wrongCompare the dispensed amount, fee screen and transaction lineReceipt, currency and final confirmation

These categories are a practical record-keeping framework, not a guarantee about the issuer’s decision. Jupiter’s public FAQ says ATM withdrawals may work with the physical card but are not guaranteed; acceptance depends on the ATM operator and region. It does not promise that every machine will show the same status or timing. ATM and PIN conditions

Do not confuse the ATM fee with a missing cash amount

The ATM operator sets any ATM surcharge, so Jupiter does not publish one universal amount you can know before the machine displays it. The card’s non-USD FX fee also depends on the assigned issuer: the current table lists 1% for Rain and 1.8% for DCS. Compare the requested amount, displayed surcharge, currency, and final transaction line separately rather than assuming every difference is a missing-cash error. Fees and issuer differences

The Spend balance is held in USD, and the card draws from that balance. A display-currency change or a conversion line does not by itself prove that the ATM dispensed cash. Use the original transaction reference and receipt as the anchors for the case. Card balance and management

Build one clean support packet

Contact official Jupiter support when the balance changed without cash, the card was retained, the transaction remains unresolved near the stated window, or the app and receipt disagree. Include:

1. The original transaction reference from the official app. 2. ATM operator or location, date, local time and time zone. 3. Requested amount, currency, and any surcharge shown before confirmation. 4. Whether the machine returned the card and printed a receipt. 5. Whether the app shows pending, reversed, or settled. 6. A short sentence: “The ATM did not dispense cash, but the app shows [status].”

Redact secrets before attaching evidence. Ask support what the issuer needs for an ATM dispute or reversal; the issuer decides whether funds are returned and how long that takes. Official support route

Use the Route Finder to keep ATM cash, card spending and bank withdrawal questions separate before you fund a route.

The existing ATM-decline guide covers a machine that rejects the attempt before a balance-changing incident. The PIN and ATM fee guide covers the pre-withdrawal checks. If you want a card for cash and the physical card is offered in your region, sign up for Jupiter Global and check the card and withdrawal controls before funding. Eligible Jupiter Card purchases earn 2% cashback, up to $100 a month; ATM withdrawals don’t. Confirm the live ATM route and issuer response in the official app.

What you want is one traceable original case: no duplicate withdrawal, no exposed secrets, and a support request that can match the missing cash to the exact transaction.

Jupiter Global ATM cash not dispensed FAQ

What should I do if the ATM gave me no cash but my balance changed?

Do not make another withdrawal. Keep the receipt, record the ATM location, amount, currency, date and time, and save the original transaction reference and status from the official app. Contact verified support with one complete incident record.

Is a pending ATM line the same as a completed debit?

No. A pending line may still be an unresolved authorisation, while a settled debit is a different case. The app’s transaction status and reference are more useful than a bank notification alone.

How long will a missing-cash ATM transaction take to reverse?

The general authorisation guidance allows an uncaptured hold to remain pending for up to 30 days, depending on the merchant. That is not an ATM-resolution promise, so use the original reference and ask official support for the issuer-specific investigation path.

Is an ATM surcharge proof that cash was dispensed?

No. The operator surcharge, FX conversion and dispensed amount are separate facts. Compare the machine receipt, final confirmation screen and app transaction line before deciding whether cash is missing.

What information should I send support?

Send the original transaction reference, ATM operator or location, local date and time zone, requested amount and currency, receipt details, card-return status, and whether the app shows pending, reversed or settled. Redact your PIN, full card number, one-time codes, recovery phrase and identity documents.
