What this site keeps in your browser, what our server logs record, and how to remove it.
Who publishes this site
Jup Global Community is an independent guide to Jupiter Global, published by StonkBuilder at jupglobal.stonkbuilder.com. It is not run by Jupiter. There are no user accounts, email sign-up forms, wallet connections or advertising trackers here, and we never ask for bank details, ID documents, card details, recovery phrases, private keys or wallet addresses.
What stays in your browser
Your browser’s local storage keeps your starter checklist, the guides you save and, if you pick one on the homepage, your language choice. Session storage remembers, for the current tab, whether you closed the sign-up banner and whether you have started or finished the checklist. Country and language editions keep their own checklist the same way. None of these values contain a Jupiter account ID, and this site doesn’t send them to a server.
The Telegram invitation remembers its dismissal in local storage for 7 days, or for 180 days after you click Join. Session storage counts time spent on visible pages in the current tab so the invitation can appear after you have had time to read. These preferences and counters stay in your browser.
When offline access is available, this browser may cache public guides and site assets. Private Admin, draft previews and course routes are excluded from offline storage. The button below clears saved guides, English and country-edition checklists, their completion flags and public offline caches. It keeps your language choice and Telegram invitation preferences.
Searches, planner answers, quiz responses and calculator amounts are worked out in the page and aren’t sent anywhere. Calculator amounts aren’t saved. CSV and checklist exports are created only when you press an export button, and the file stays with you.
Server logs and visitor statistics
Like most websites, our web server (nginx) writes a log entry for each request: your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the page or file requested, the referring page and the time. We use GoAccess on the same server to turn these logs into aggregate reports, such as page views and popular guides. There is no analytics script in your browser and no tracking cookie. The logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Country lookup on the homepage
When you open the English homepage, the page asks our server for your country. The server looks up your IP address in a DB-IP Lite country database stored on the server and returns only a two-letter country code; your IP address is not sent to DB-IP. A language you pick yourself is remembered in this browser and takes priority. Otherwise, the homepage uses a published edition for your country that matches your browser’s preferred language. If no country edition matches and your preferred language is supported, it opens that language’s global directory; otherwise, it uses the country’s configured default. The lookup is approximate and may reflect a VPN or network exit point.
Legal basis
Where data-protection law asks for a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving this site for the server logs, the visitor statistics built from them and the homepage country lookup. Browser storage holds only what the features you use need.
Your choices and how to delete
Use the buttons on this page to clear your saved reading and checklist. Your browser’s site-data settings remove everything this site keeps in your browser, including your language choice. Server log entries are deleted when their retention period ends.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to how it is used.
How long data is kept
Browser storage stays until you clear it. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted. Server backups can keep copies of this data for a limited period until they rotate out.
Service providers
The site runs on a server we rent from DigitalOcean, which stores the data described here. GoAccess and the DB-IP Lite database run on that server, so no analytics or location provider receives your data.
When you leave this site
Links to Jupiter and other official sites open their services, which have their own privacy policies. Creating or funding a Jupiter account is covered by Jupiter’s privacy policy, not this page.
Shared devices
Saved learning can be visible to anyone using the same browser profile. Use the clear-data button or your browser’s site-data controls on a shared device. Storage may be unavailable or temporary in private browsing; the site still works, but progress may not be kept.
