The Jupiter Global 4% cashback rate is a timed tier, not an automatic signup setting. The current Rewards documentation says the base rate is 2% on qualifying Jupiter Card purchases, with a $100 monthly cap. Referring at least two qualifying people during one calendar month can qualify you for 4% in the following calendar month, with a $200 cap.
The rate is earned in one month and used in the next
The key timing is easy to misread:
1. During the previous calendar month, at least two people must qualify through your referral activity. 2. Each qualifying person must complete KYC and spend at least $50 on their Jupiter Card. 3. If the requirement is met, the higher 4% rate applies during the following calendar month. 4. Referring one person is not enough for the 4% tier.
Jupiter says your current rate and monthly progress appear on the Rewards screen. Use that screen as the live account state instead of relying on an old screenshot, a social post, or a promise from a third party. Current Rewards documentation
What the caps mean in practice
At the base tier, 2% reaches a $100 cap after $5,000 of fully qualifying spend in simple arithmetic. At the higher tier, 4% reaches a $200 cap after the same $5,000. Those figures are a way to understand the cap, not a reason to spend more: the app’s eligibility rules, settlement state, merchant classification, and risk controls still determine what counts.
Cashback is credited automatically after a card purchase fully settles. While the transaction is pending, the Rewards screen can show Processing. A purchase that has not settled is therefore not evidence that cashback is missing, and a pending line should not be duplicated just to chase a reward. Cashback timing
Which purchases can qualify
The Rewards documentation excludes many non-purchase or higher-risk categories. The practical boundary is an ordinary, accepted Jupiter Card purchase that settles normally. ATM withdrawals, QR payments, P2P transfers, fees, money transfers, remittances, account funding, refunds, reversals, disputes, chargebacks, financial services, gambling, government payments, and cash-equivalent transactions are listed as ineligible. Fraud and abuse controls can also withhold or reverse rewards. Eligibility and exclusions
Do not turn a cap into a shopping target. If the purchase is not something you already need, the possibility of cashback does not make it a sensible transaction. A genuine card payment that fits your budget is a better test of the product than manufactured volume or repeated small charges.
A safe way to check your tier
Before you plan around the higher rate, open the official Jupiter app and check:
- the current rate shown in Rewards;
- the monthly cap and progress bar;
- whether the card purchase is pending or settled;
- whether the merchant and transaction type are eligible;
- the available USD balance and any issuer conditions.
If the rate does not change after the next calendar month begins, preserve the relevant referral and purchase dates, the in-app status, and the transaction references. Use official support rather than sending screenshots or account credentials to a stranger. Official support
The broader referral-rewards guide explains the separate referral milestones, while the cashback-pending guide handles a purchase that is still processing. This page is specifically about the 4% tier and its timing.
For transparent arithmetic using your own settled-spend figure, use the cashback tier calculator.
Everyone starts at the base rate. When you join Jupiter Global, eligible Jupiter Card purchases earn 2% cashback, up to $100 a month, and the Rewards screen tracks your rate and progress from there.
Jupiter Global 4% cashback FAQ
Is the 4% Jupiter Global cashback rate automatic?
No. The current Rewards documentation describes 4% as a timed tier that follows qualifying referral activity during the previous calendar month. The live Rewards screen is the authority for your current rate and progress.
What is the monthly cap at 4% cashback?
The current documentation lists a $200 monthly cap for the 4% tier. The base 2% tier has a $100 monthly cap. A cap explains the maximum credited amount; it does not make an unnecessary purchase worthwhile.
When does cashback move from Processing to credited?
Cashback is credited after an eligible card purchase fully settles. A pending purchase can remain marked Processing, so do not treat that status as a missing reward or repeat the transaction.
Which transactions do not qualify for the 4% rate?
The checked exclusions include ATM withdrawals, QR payments, P2P transfers, fees, money transfers, remittances, account funding, refunds, reversals, disputes, chargebacks, financial services, gambling, government payments and cash-equivalent transactions.
Where can I verify the current cashback rate?
Open the official Jupiter app and check the Rewards screen for the current rate, monthly cap, progress and transaction status. Preserve dates and references for support if a settled eligible purchase does not appear as expected.
