Jupiter Global and Wise can both be useful in Singapore, but they start from different money paths. Jupiter documents a USD Spend balance, a DCS-issued Card for Singapore residents, a separate SGD bank-payout route, and an SG QR network currently marked temporarily unavailable. Wise publishes a Singapore transfer quote and a personal Card with its own ordering, conversion and ATM conditions. Compare them on the same end result: SGD credited to a bank, a card purchase, or an international recipient.
The short comparison
| Question | Jupiter Global | Wise |
|---|---|---|
| Singapore residence | Singapore is on Jupiter's Card residence list; the public issuer table assigns DCS | Singapore is listed for Wise personal account and Card availability |
| Starting balance | USD Spend funded by supported USDC/USDT or an in-app conversion | SGD or another fiat balance, bank funding and a live quote |
| Singapore merchant payment | Card route; SG QR is separately documented and currently paused | Wise Card route, subject to current account, merchant and card terms |
| SGD bank recipient | Current remittance table includes SGD with a published fee schedule | Wise shows the exact source debit, fee, rate and recipient amount in its quote |
| First question | “Does my account show the required issuer, rail and beneficiary?” | “What complete quote reaches the same recipient or card payment?” |
This is a route map, not a live quote or eligibility decision. Recheck Jupiter Card rules, Jupiter Fees & Limits, Wise Singapore transfer pricing, and Wise Singapore Card pricing before authorising anything.
Know the outcome before you pick a provider
- Send SGD to a Singapore bank: compare the complete recipient amount, conversion, fixed fee, variable fee, delivery estimate and beneficiary requirements.
- Pay a Singapore merchant: compare the final card debit and currency, not the cost of a bank payout.
- Use SG QR: treat Jupiter’s documented temporary pause as a separate status. A successful Visa payment or a Singapore country listing does not reactivate SG QR.
- Pay an overseas contractor or service: use the same source currency, recipient currency, route and timing in both quotes.
- Spend supported crypto: include the deposit network, conversion and exit constraints before comparing Jupiter with a fiat-first provider.
A QR purchase, card authorisation and SGD bank credit are different rails. Calling one provider cheaper without matching the rail and the end result creates a misleading comparison.
When Jupiter is worth investigating in Singapore
Jupiter’s Card documentation lists Singapore as a supported country of residence and names DCS for that market. Eligibility is based on genuine residence and verification, not citizenship or a desired issuer. The account’s live Card screen is the useful evidence for one person. Country and issuer documentation
Jupiter’s documented Spend path is USD based. Direct deposits accept USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Sui, Arbitrum or Base and USDT on Solana; Send → Send to Spend is a different in-app conversion path for funds already in Jupiter Mobile. Sending an unsupported token or network to the deposit address can permanently lose the funds. Deposit guidance · Spend overview
For Singapore spending, the current fee table is the starting point for the DCS foreign-exchange row and card limits. The final authorisation still controls: merchant conversion, a temporary hold, restricted categories and the account state can affect the result. Read the amount and currency before approving. Current fees
The SGD payout route is separate from card spending. Jupiter’s current table lists a $1.50 fixed fee plus 0.45% for an SGD local bank transfer. At a $1,000 equivalent payout, that published formula is $6 before conversion and any receiving-bank charge; it’s an example, not a personal quote. The live beneficiary, corridor, account and conversion determine whether the transfer completes. SGD remittance rules
The SG QR distinction matters. Jupiter’s QR documentation marks Singapore temporarily unavailable in the checked edition. Do not plan a merchant payment around a QR code while that status remains, and do not infer QR availability from DCS issuance alone. QR status
When Wise is worth investigating
Wise’s Singapore pricing page says the transfer uses the live mid-market rate and an upfront fee for the selected route. The payment method, currency pair, amount and recipient determine the quote, so save the confirmation screen and do not reuse a generic example. Wise also applies a discount after its published monthly volume threshold; that can change the fee for larger transfers. Wise Singapore pricing
Wise’s Singapore Card pricing page lists an 8.50 SGD card-order fee, free digital card, conversion pricing that varies by currency, and no subscription fee. It also states that local ATM withdrawals in Singapore are not available for Wise cards issued there; international ATM withdrawals have the page’s separate monthly allowance and fee. These are current Singapore terms, not a universal Wise rule. Wise Singapore Card pricing · Wise Card usage restrictions
That makes the starting balance materially different. Wise is fiat-first: a Singapore bank or Wise balance becomes a quoted transfer or card spend. The app displays the Spend balance in USD; deposited USDC and USDT are not automatically converted to USD on arrival. With Rain, the stablecoins remain on-chain as card collateral. If your money already sits in SGD and it needs to reach a bank recipient, a Wise quote is a natural baseline. If your usable funds are supported stablecoins and you want a Jupiter card payment or visible SGD payout, Jupiter is the route to test.
Compare the complete Singapore cost
Record the same fields for both products:
1. Residence and product: Singapore resident, personal account, Card, bank transfer or QR. 2. Starting asset: SGD, USD, USDC, USDT or another asset that needs conversion. 3. Funding rail: bank transfer, Wise balance, supported network, Card or in-app swap. 4. Final debit: fixed fee, percentage fee, exchange rate, network cost, card conversion and any hold. 5. End result: SGD bank credit, card purchase, international recipient or confirmed merchant result. 6. Evidence: quote timestamp, delivery estimate, beneficiary details, route status and transaction reference.
The site’s Quote Compare tool can normalize figures you enter, and the Route Finder keeps the goal explicit. They do not fetch private live quotes, verify a Singapore bank or approve an account. Include hidden steps such as stablecoin conversion, network fee, bank funding, an ATM restriction or a separate withdrawal.
A Singapore decision rule
Investigate Jupiter when the account is eligible, the DCS and desired rail are visible, supported funds are ready, and the job is a USD Spend card or a documented SGD payout. Investigate Wise when the fiat funding route is convenient, the Singapore Card or transfer terms fit, and its complete quote reaches the same recipient or card payment.
Do not compare Jupiter’s SGD payout fee with Wise’s card-order fee; they pay for different events. Use a modest first amount, preserve the confirmation and wait for the bank or merchant to confirm receipt. If SG QR, the beneficiary corridor, the card issuer or the currency is absent in the live app, pause instead of forcing the route.
For broader context, read the Jupiter Global Singapore guide and the SGD transfer-fee guide. If Jupiter fits your plans, create your Jupiter Global account and check the live issuer, currency and recipient details first. You get 2% cashback on eligible Jupiter Card purchases, with a $100 monthly cap.
Jupiter Global vs Wise Singapore FAQ
Is Jupiter Global or Wise better for Singapore?
It depends on where the money needs to end up. Compare Jupiter’s supported-fund card or SGD payout route with Wise’s fiat transfer or Card quote for the same source amount, destination, currency, timing and total debit. Neither product is automatically the better choice for every Singapore route.
Can I use Jupiter SG QR in Singapore now?
Jupiter’s checked QR documentation marks Singapore temporarily unavailable. Do not infer SG QR access from Singapore residence eligibility, DCS Card issuance or a successful card authorisation; recheck the live QR status before planning a merchant payment.
What fee does Jupiter list for an SGD payout?
The current remittance table lists a $1.50 fixed fee plus 0.45% for an SGD local bank transfer. Treat that as a documented example of the fee formula, then verify the live beneficiary, conversion, corridor and receiving-bank terms before authorising a transfer.
Can a Wise Singapore Card be used at local ATMs?
Wise’s checked Singapore Card page says local ATM withdrawals in Singapore are unavailable for cards issued there and gives separate terms for international ATM use. Confirm the current Card terms and issuing location before relying on an ATM route.
How should I compare a SGD payout with a card purchase?
Do not compare them as the same event. Record the source asset, funding rail, conversion, fixed and variable fees, final debit, delivery estimate and confirmed outcome. A bank credit, QR payment and card authorisation need separate quotes and evidence.
