Jupiter Global and Wise can both appear in a Colombian money decision while solving different jobs. Jupiter documents a crypto-funded Card and a USD Spend balance for Colombian residents. Wise’s official Colombia pages present a transfer and multi-currency route, while its current personal Card country list does not include Colombia. Compare them on what you actually need: card spending, USD work expenses, or a Colombian-peso bank credit.
The short comparison
| Question | Jupiter Global | Wise |
|---|---|---|
| Colombian residence | Colombia appears in Jupiter’s current Card list; the public issuer table points toward Rain | Wise provides account and transfer services from Colombia; verify the live flow |
| Personal card for a Colombian resident | Jupiter Card route is documented; confirm the assigned issuer | Colombia is not in the current Wise personal Card availability list |
| Starting route | USD Spend balance funded by supported USDC/USDT or an in-app conversion | Fiat or Wise-balance transfer with a live quote |
| USD work spending | Card draws from the USD balance; no published FX fee for USD payments | No Colombia-issued Wise personal Card is currently listed |
| COP bank credit | COP is not in Jupiter’s current local-payout table | Wise’s Colombia pages describe transfers and COP delivery; use the live quote |
| First question | “Do I need a card funded from supported crypto?” | “What total debit and COP amount does the current quote show?” |
This is a route map, not a live quote or account decision. Country, verification, product, corridor and fees can change. Jupiter Card documentation · Jupiter Fees & Limits · Wise Colombia pricing · Wise Card country list
Compare one goal at a time
Do not compare a card purchase with a bank transfer and call one provider cheaper. Choose the outcome first:
- Pay a USD-priced work tool: compare the actual card or payment route you can use in Colombia.
- Buy from a Colombian merchant in COP: compare the final card debit, conversion and any merchant hold.
- Deliver COP to a Colombian bank: compare a Wise COP quote with a Jupiter route only if the live Jupiter account shows a usable destination and currency.
- Spend supported crypto without first selling through a bank: investigate Jupiter’s deposit and card path; Wise solves a different funding problem.
Use the same source amount, destination, currency, delivery method and timing. Record total debit, fixed fees, conversion rate, recipient amount and the final delivery estimate at the same time. The site’s Quote Compare tool normalizes figures you enter; it does not fetch live prices or approve a route.
When Jupiter is worth investigating
Jupiter’s current Card documentation lists Colombia as a supported country of residence. The same table names DCS markets separately and says residents of other supported countries receive Rain, so the public documentation points toward Rain for Colombia. That is an inference until the actual account shows its issuer. Eligibility is based on residence, not citizenship. Card countries and issuers
The Card draws from a USD Spend balance. The direct deposit address accepts USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Sui, Arbitrum or Base and USDT on Solana. Funds already in Jupiter Mobile can use Send → Send to Spend as a separate conversion route. Sending another token or an unsupported network to the direct Spend address can permanently lose the funds. Deposit FAQ · Spend overview
For a Colombian merchant charging COP, the current fee table lists a 1% Rain FX conversion fee for non-USD payments. USD payments have no published FX conversion fee. Merchant-side conversion, authorisation holds, restricted categories, and issuer decisions remain separate checks. Current Jupiter fees
Jupiter’s remittance documentation currently lists payout currencies such as USD and EUR, but not COP. A supported Colombian Card therefore does not prove that a Colombian bank payout exists. The live Remittance or Withdrawal screen is the only useful account-level check before funding. Jupiter remittance rules
When Wise is worth investigating
Wise’s official Colombia pricing page provides a transfer-pricing flow for residents in Colombia and says the final fee and rate are shown for the chosen route. Use the live quote for the exact source currency, amount, recipient and payment method; do not copy a number from an example or another country. Wise Colombia pricing
Wise’s current personal Card availability list includes countries such as Brazil, Canada, the EEA, Japan, Singapore, the UK and the US, but does not list Colombia. That makes Wise a relevant comparison for transfers and multi-currency management in Colombia without assuming that a Colombian resident can order a Wise personal debit card. Wise personal Card availability
Wise’s Colombia guide describes sending COP to Colombian bank accounts and shows the route as a transfer decision with a quote, recipient details and delivery estimate. Treat that guide as an orientation; the current calculator and confirmation screen control the actual fee, rate, supported bank and timing. Wise Colombia withdrawal guide
For a Wise comparison, record:
1. Where the money starts and its currency. 2. Whether the source is a bank, Wise balance, or another route. 3. The exact fee and exchange rate shown at confirmation. 4. The COP amount the recipient gets. 5. Delivery timing, recipient requirements and any verification hold.
A fair Colombia decision tree
1. Name the goal: USD subscription, COP card purchase, or Colombian bank credit. 2. Confirm residence and the product each provider actually offers there. 3. Choose the rail: crypto deposit, bank transfer, card payment, or recipient payout. 4. Compare complete figures: total debit, FX, fixed fees, recipient amount and timing. 5. Save the quote timestamp, currency, route and final status. 6. Test with a modest amount and keep a backup method.
Do not deposit into Jupiter while assuming a later COP withdrawal will exist. Do not start a Wise transfer from an old screenshot. Do not give a stranger an identity document, password, one-time code, recovery phrase or private key to “unlock” a route. Use the official app and support channel for account-specific decisions.
For the country-level details, read the Jupiter Global Colombia guide. The Route Finder keeps card spending, stablecoin funding and bank payout questions separate. If Jupiter suits you, create your account here and check the live issuer, currency and beneficiary instructions before moving funds. You’d also earn 2% cashback on eligible Jupiter Card purchases, up to $100 a month.
Jupiter Global vs Wise Colombia FAQ
Is Jupiter Global or Wise better for Colombia?
Choose by what you need. Jupiter is the route to investigate for supported-crypto funding and USD Spend card use; Wise is the route to quote for a Colombian bank transfer or COP delivery. Compare the same source amount, destination, currency, timing and total debit before choosing.
Can a Colombian resident order a Jupiter Global Card?
Colombia appears in Jupiter’s current Card residence list. The public table points toward Rain for countries outside the DCS issuer rows, but the assigned issuer and eligibility must be confirmed in the live account. Residence is the relevant check, not citizenship alone.
Can I use Wise Card in Colombia?
Wise’s checked personal Card country list does not include Colombia. Wise transfer and multi-currency services can still be relevant there, but do not assume a Colombian resident can order a Wise personal Card without confirming the current availability page and account flow.
Can Jupiter send COP to a Colombian bank?
Jupiter’s checked local-payout table does not list COP. A Colombian Card listing therefore does not prove that a COP bank payout exists. Check the live Remittance or Withdrawal screen before funding for that purpose.
What is the fair way to compare a COP transfer with a card purchase?
Keep the rails separate. Record the starting currency, funding method, FX conversion, fixed and variable fees, final debit, recipient amount, delivery estimate and confirmed result. A Wise COP bank credit is not equivalent to a Jupiter card authorisation.
