Jupiter Global Costa Rica: Card, CRC spending and route checks

A current Jupiter Global Costa Rica guide: verify Card residence, Rain FX costs, CRC spending, bank-payout limits and QR Pay boundaries.

By StonkBuilder GuidesUpdated 21 Oct 20268 min read

Jupiter Global Costa Rica raises three separate questions: the Card, CRC bank payouts and QR payments. Costa Rica appears in the current Card residence list, but a supported Card country does not automatically create a Costa Rican-colón payout rail or a local QR Pay network. The right route depends on whether you want to spend at a Visa merchant, receive fiat, send money to a bank, or fund Spend with crypto.

A four-step Jupiter Global Costa Rica route chart separating residence, Rain Card fees, CRC payout status and QR Pay scope.

This summary follows Jupiter’s current documentation, and Jupiter says residence rules, partners, regulation, features and limits can change. Current Card countries · Spend risks

Can a Costa Rica resident get the Card?

Costa Rica appears in Jupiter’s current supported Card-country list. Eligibility follows the country of residence used in the official Jupiter ID verification flow, not a tourist visit, a phone number or a passport used to bypass a residence requirement. A country listing is the beginning of an account check; it is not approval, a guarantee of every feature, or proof that a physical Card is currently available.

The Card documentation says virtual Cards are available through the app while physical Cards are rolling out in phases. Open Spend → Card after verification to see the Card type, status and available actions for the account. Keep a second payment method if the purchase is time-sensitive. Card availability and rollout

Which issuer and fee applies in Costa Rica?

Jupiter documents Rain and DCS as its two Card issuers. DCS is listed for Australia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Costa Rica is outside that named list, so the published country split points to Rain for a supported Costa Rica residence. The account’s issuer display remains the authority; you cannot choose an issuer to obtain a preferred rate. Issuer assignment

The current fees table lists 1% for Rain on non-USD Card payments and no listed FX fee for USD payments. A purchase priced in CRC should therefore be treated as a non-USD Card payment against the USD Spend balance. The 1% figure is an issuer conversion fee, not a live quote, merchant surcharge or promise about the amount finally debited. Read the currency, amount and authorization in the official app before confirming. Current Card fees

For a first purchase in Costa Rica, keep enough USD for the merchant amount and the documented FX buffer, confirm the Card is active, and make one modest ordinary Visa payment. A Visa mark does not override restricted merchant categories, issuer controls, a frozen Card or an account-specific decline. Keep the receipt and transaction reference until settlement. Fees and merchant boundaries

Is there a CRC bank payout?

Do not treat Costa Rica’s Card-country listing as proof of a local CRC bank payout. The current remittance documentation publishes local payout currencies including AED, BRL, CAD, EUR, GBP, IDR, INR, MYR, NGN, PHP, SGD, THB, TRY, USD and VND. CRC is not in that published local-payout list. The same documentation describes USD and EUR virtual accounts after Jupiter ID verification and SWIFT routes subject to the recipient bank, corridor and local restrictions. Current remittance currencies

If the money needs to reach a Costa Rican bank account, open the live remittance flow only after verification and record the exact destination currency, beneficiary fields, route type, fee and final amount received. A CRC balance display, a successful Card purchase or a USD virtual account does not establish that a beneficiary can receive CRC. Payout limits are set for each currency and shown in the app, and payout support is account and corridor dependent. Transfer limits

Does QR Pay work in Costa Rica?

Costa Rica is not in the current QR Pay merchant-network list. The documented networks are Cambodia KHQR, Indonesia QRIS, Malaysia DuitNow, Mongolia QPay, Philippines QR Ph and Vietnam VietQR; Singapore SG QR and Thailand PromptPay are marked temporarily unavailable. Spend-balance QR Pay requires an eligible DCS card; wallet-funded QR is a separate route without a Card. A Costa Rican merchant QR can belong to a local bank or wallet and still be outside Jupiter’s route. QR Pay scope

If the app does not name the network or merchant before confirmation, stop rather than scanning repeatedly or handing Card details to an unofficial helper. An ordinary Visa route and a QR route are different checks; DCS issuance alone does not create a Costa Rican QR network.

Funding and bank-exit checks

The documented direct Spend deposit route accepts USDC on Solana, Ethereum, Sui, Arbitrum or Base and USDT on Solana. Match the exact asset and network shown in the current receiving instructions. If a bank exit may matter, inspect it before funding: the current documentation says only USDC deposits can be withdrawn to fiat, while USDT deposits cannot. Funding and withdrawal limits · Spend FAQ

An unsupported token or network can be permanently lost. If funds already sit in Jupiter Mobile, the documented Send → Send to Spend route is a different path that converts another token into USDC before crediting Spend. A blockchain confirmation is not the same as a Spend credit or a bank payout. Security and partner boundaries

Costa Rica setup preflight

1. Confirm Costa Rica is your genuine country of residence and prepare the documents requested by the official verification flow. 2. Confirm the Card and issuer shown in Spend → Card; the published split points to Rain, but the live account decides. 3. For CRC spending, budget for the current Rain non-USD FX rule and read the final authorization. 4. If you need a bank payout, verify the exact USD, EUR or SWIFT route and beneficiary before funding; do not assume CRC support. 5. Treat Costa Rican QR payments as unconfirmed unless the live app explicitly lists the required network. 6. Keep passwords, OTPs, recovery phrases, private keys and full Card security details out of community messages. Use official support for an account-specific conflict. Official support

The site’s residence checker, Route Finder and deposit-network check can organize these questions.

Jupiter Global Costa Rica FAQ

Is Costa Rica supported for the Jupiter Global Card?

Costa Rica appears in the current Card residence list. Eligibility still depends on genuine residence, identity verification and the live account state; a country listing is not approval.

Which issuer does a Costa Rica resident receive?

Costa Rica is outside the documented DCS country list, so the published split points to Rain. Confirm the issuer shown in the account before relying on the fee table.

What is the Rain FX fee for CRC spending?

The current table lists 1% for non-USD Rain Card payments. Merchant currency, exchange rate, holds, restricted categories and the final authorization remain separate checks.

Can Jupiter Global send CRC to a Costa Rican bank?

CRC is not in the current published local-payout currency list. Confirm whether the live account offers a USD, EUR or SWIFT route for the specific beneficiary; do not infer a CRC rail from Card availability.

Does Jupiter QR Pay work at Costa Rican merchants?

Costa Rica is absent from the documented QR Pay network list. A local QR code is not evidence of Jupiter compatibility; identify the network in the current app before relying on it.
